- Download new xml template
- Save to your desktop. Remember, SAVE no need to open. Some mistake is they open xml file in browser of course there will be an error warning, because browser not compatible to open xml file
- Create new blog. This is trial blog to edit new xml template
- Upload your new template to trial blog. How to ? Open Edit HTML, and then upload downloaded xml file
- Open your current blog layout
- Go to Edit HTML, copy all widget code between <div id='sidebar'>
- Open trial blog layout
- Go to Edit HTML, paste to trial blog, all copied widget code. Put it between <div id='sidebar'> too
- Save
- Download and save full template of trial blog
- Upload to your current blog layout, and you get new layout without deleting widget

Fyuh, such a long post title. On my last post, I give trick how to change blogger template without deleting widget. There's same main point, that is copy all widget from current blog to new template. Maybe, some of you not familiar with Notepad ++, a lil bit complicated. Here's another way to edit XML file.

I managed to get the right sidebar correctly, but how abt left sidebar? Will all my archives post remains?
How abt all my previous post?will it remains too?
My problem now is when I click at the Archives post, then only the website become "normal" back...if I didn't click any post, it will become "lain macam"....

yess, it is same. Copy all widget on every section, such as sidebar, mid sidebar. After that step, we can arrange it. The important thing is, it wont be deleted

@BS88: waw, how can? hehhehe im sorry, because i have never face the problem, so I can give solution for this. When i desperate, usually I make new blog, i change current blog to other name, and then use my old blog name to new blog hehhehe, and i import all post

anyway miss, my template now is using 'sidebar-wrapper' instead of 'sidebar'. Are they different?
i copied the sidebar-wrapper as if it was sidebar. shall i change the name?
is there any layout that won't work if i use sidebar-wrapper and not sidebar?
and what about midsidebar-wrapper?

@fakely:no matter thats sidebar name, no need to change, just all widget code ,wherever it hehe :) i mean maybe there's widget on footer, lower-wrapper, copy all :), you can paste to sidebar. The point is it won't be deleted and you can arrange it later
I tried it and it didn't work ma'am. There was an error said that the xml code wasn't closed properly etc. What's wrong?
@fakely: be carefull to copy, have to copy properly. Do not tick mark on expand widget template

@mark: I didnt use any software, just copy wordpress theme css, and arrange blogger HTML with the same arrangement of wp theme
